Went to the flames game last week, turns out a guy at work won tickets to a game he was already going to so he gave them to me… good stuff. And we beat the blues Last weekend was busy. Hit farm boys house for some drinks. Ended up playing poker dice… again… and discussing the liqour list for the wedding. He figured I should double the entire order. The next day dad and I figured everyone at the dance would need to drink a case of beer for us to need that much booze… So we left it the same. As it is I’m pretty sure we’ll be returning alot. Saturday was spent hanging christmas lights at the farm, this year it was a balmy 10 degrees which is way nicer than the -20 its been some years. Sunday I met riccochets new WII, man that things cool… I’m just as bad at virtual bowling as I am at the real stuff.

Not much went on this week. It will be the last easy weekend before the end of January probably. So I spent it being as lazy as possible. Watched the first season of LOST, which I must say was pretty good. I wonder what’s at the bottom of the massive cement shaft. My artist friend from Uni is engaged (the second in a matter of weeks, tis’ the season :) ) so that was exciting. Mary came over and was lazy with me on Saturday night. Oh… of course… went to Ranchman’s thursday night (almost forgot about that) and rode the bull again. Man alive am I always sore after that, third time in my life now. Saw a new and exciting side of Mary’s sister (I should probably start coming up with nick names for all these people), she made me a fantastic deal in order to see me ride the bull which I look forward to cashing in on. Went and watched Simpsons over at Riccochets Sunday night, man are the new Ipod shuffles tiny. Yesterday was a holiday so I played some video games and ran some errands… nothing terribly exciting.

Week 1

First off Mary and I bought a house:

house

Pretty freaken expensive and it wouldn’t have been possible had I not been able to sell my condo for an insane capital gain (tax free of course!). So the newleyweds now have a place to live. Housewarming will be in January sometime (after we have actual furniture)
As well halloween was on Tuesday and after running around for 2 hours (rush hour traffic is insane these days) I managed to dig up a pirate costume. While being peer pressured into it wasn’t so fun I must admit it was a fun day at work on Tuesday. Not a whole lot of work got done though.
My saturday consisted of feeding cows (folks ran off to the USA for some cross border shopping), working on my truck (snow tires, cement blocks and new plug wires), and watching some final fantasy at Ricochet’s and ordering in pizza… it’s like watching a very long movie that never ends. Basically the giant pirate ship that flies finally landed in this far off mining city and at that point it was time for bed. Sometimes its nice to get back to my geek roots on a Saturday night.

In The Beginning…

Alright, after finally moving onto my newly assigned (shaw) hardware I thought I should change the homepage up as well. Been working on this for a while but I’ve have had no time to start using it. It seemed like a good time to do it. This is partially for myself to remeber what I’ve done in the past; a “PG rated journal” if you will. It’s also a way of avoiding writing twenty different emails everytime something interesting happens to me. So here we go…

PS… I see this doesn’t have a spell check yet… this could get interesting.
